The Great Pickle Caper - Answers
1 - Bread & Butter Bonnie (pickle)
Bread & Butter Bonnie was hiding in the red & silver garland behind Santa checking his list in the North Pole village next to Santa's Toy Company which is called out in the picture descriptioons for having an S on the weathervane. The clue for this one was "He'S making a liSt and checking it twice. I can See who'S naughty and nice." All the S's in the clue are capitalized to reference the weathervane on Santa's Toy Company and the pickle can clearly see Santa checking his list from her hiding location.
2 - Mr. P. Innapod (peapod)
Mr. P. Innapod was hiding in the garland on the lowest level of the village display tree in the Upstairs Hall where the Christmas in the City village collection is displayed. In the garland, it was between the Holy Name Church and the Golden Gate Bridge. The clue for this one was, "City sidewalks, busy sidewalks, dressed in vegetable style." City sidewalks references the Christmas in the City village display which points the seeker to the village display tree in the upstairs hall. It was visible in the video as well as the photo.
3 - Bugsy Carrol (carrot)
Bugsy Carrol was hiding upside-down in amongst the ornaments at the base of the three silver ornament trees on the buffet in the upstairs hallway. The clue for him stated, "On the third day of Christmas my true love gave to me, three shiny trees." which was a reference to the three silver ornament trees. This was arguably the most difficult of the 5.
4 - Robin Damato (tomato)
Robin Damato was hiding in the archway garland in the dining room on the right hand side. His clue stated, "'Tween two trees I'm safe and jolly. Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la." referencing the location where the garland comes down between two small Christmas trees.
5 - Kosher Clyde (pickle)
Kosher Clyde was hiding on the 9 1/2 foot tall traditional tree in the living room behind a bow about half-way up the tree. A bit challenging to see unless you zoom in on the photo or watch the video where he clearly makes a cameo behind a bow. His clue stated, "What bow is this, who laid to rest, in front of me is sleeping?" referencing the large bow that he is hiding behind on the tree.
Hopefully, you enjoyed hunting for the feisty five! Happy New Year and best of luck when the Great Pickle Caper returns in 2021!
