Original Snow Village
The origin of Department 56 Villages, the Original Snow Village began in 1976 with the introduction of six hand-painted ceramic buildings. Two years later, those six buildings were retired and twelve more introduced along with the concept of accessories. From there the concept grew and grew. To date in this series over 400 buildings have been produced. Our small but mighty collection of Original Snow Village pieces is displayed around the kitchen atop the cabinetry.
